What to expect on the first appointment:

Your first appointment is normally an hour long.

During the first meeting, counselors will ask questions about who referred you to our programs, why you are here, and information about your family.  We need this information to better understand how we can help you.

What you tell us is confidential.  We may ask you to sign a release to share information with other agencies, but we will never share your information with anyone without your permission.

We may ask you to bring your children in order to gain a better understanding of your family situation.

We may ask you to fill out some parenting surveys or other questionnaires, and we will share these results with you.

After your first session, the counselor will discuss additional appointments for you and your children. We may also recommend other agencies for you to contact for assistance.

We are here to help you and will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and safe in our office.
