Domestic Violence Counseling and Support

The Nest provides assessments, individual counseling, education support groups, alternative healing groups and court/legal advocacy for survivors of domestic violence.  We offer counseling and advocacy services in Spanish also.
Counseling Services:  Initial Assessments, Safety Planning, Ongoing Individual Counseling

Court Advocacy:  Victims advocacy before and after court hearings, Explaining victim’s rights and options for protective orders, Assistance accessing community resources, Free legal representation for Emergency Protective Order (EPO) and Domestic Violence Order (DVO) hearings.  Attorney and advocates are available in Fayette and Surrounding counties.

Mondays from 4:00pm – 5:00pm

RESET Group:

Thursdays from 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Support Groups

Restorative Yoga:  Designed to help survivors of trauma tap into the body’s healing energy, cultivate a deeper sense of connection within, create a calm and restorative sacred place, build strength and foster a sense of well-being and community.

Tuesdays at Noon

A Window Between Worlds:  An art class that offers participants the opportunity to take a window of time, to begin and support their process of self-discovery and healing.

Wednesdays at 11:00am

Lunch and Learn:  Offers a “real talk” about finances.  Tips and tricks about savings, setting goals and credit scores are shared in a round-table atmosphere.  Lunch is provided for free by The Nest and our sponsors.

Wednesdays at Noon

Parenting Cafe:  A safe place that promotes encouragement, motivation and uplifting support for Mother’s in times of need.
