Over the years here at The Nest, we have seen more and more new and expectant mothers reach out to us for help for the infant care items they need before they are able to take their baby home from the hospital. Our goal has always been to alleviate the financial burden and stress that new parents often face, allowing them to focus on providing a safe and loving environment for their babies. Now we believe we can continue that goal in an even more effective way with our new Community Baby Showers!

This is not just about giving out necessities. We want this event to make our moms feel supported and special, just like any other baby shower would! This event will be entirely supported by donations and sponsorships! We have been creating "baby sprinkle" bags with the brand new items that are donated to us.

• Up to 25 expectant or new moms will receive a curated bag of new baby items such as diapers, wipes, a new outfit, infant bottles, bibs, pacifiers, and other assorted goodies! Each bag will be curated to the mother and her baby.

• We will also take this opportunity to make sure each mother has a safe car seat and provide one to those who do not. Car seats installation will also be offered by trained staff in from our Injury Prevention Program at The Nest.

• We will also be providing support to our moms by connecting them with other community partners and resources they could benefit from in Lexington.

• There will be treats, refreshments, and activities!
