Intimate Partner Violence and Parenting Program Administrator


Job Details

The Nest’s mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of children and adults by supporting families in crisis through education, counseling, advocacy, and support. The Nest’s Program Administrator will ensure all clients receive the resources needed for healthy family outcomes. Our staff works with families to eliminate the presence or possibility of violence and abuse occurring in the home. The Program Administrator has an awareness of how trauma impacts our families and understands the importance of their role as the first point of contact for a family.

The Program Administrator will respond to all intake forms submitted to our Salesforce database. The Program Administrator will respond to phone calls, texts, and emails from anyone interested in receiving our services. Based on the client’s responses to initial intake questions, the Program Administrator will connect the client with resources at The Nest that include family assistance, childcare, legal, parenting, and intimate partner violence (IPV). If a client needs a higher level of care or resources outside of what is provided by The Nest, the Program Administrator will connect clients to reliable organizations that meet their needs. The Program Administrator will be able to effectively communicate the intake process, all available Nest services, and information about referrals to outside organizations.

The Program Administrator should have experience working with populations such as people who identify as homeless, in recovery, immigrants/refugees, survivors of violence, parents, and LGBTQIAA2S+. The Program Administrator should be prepared to treat every person seeking services with dignity and respect. The Program Administrator will be flexible in the administration of services by being able to connect with clients by phone, text, and video conferencing when in-person services are not possible.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly to all inquiries regarding parenting and intimate partner violence services at The Nest.

  2. Complete an initial intake interview in person or by phone and add demographic information into our database system with clients seeking services.

  3. Review IPV/Parenting intakes submitted to our Salesforce database.

  4. Make recommendations for Nest resources and/or resources outside of The Nest.

  5. Email clients intake forms to complete based on their identified needs or have packets available to give clients who do not have internet access.

  6. Maintain and update policies, processes, and referral guides for resources inside and outside of The Nest.

  7. Ensure appropriate releases to share information and requests for documentation are executed.

  8. Contact and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on behalf of clients.

  9. Facilitate educational groups for parents and survivors of intimate partner violence.

  10. Attend and participate in all staff and agency-related meetings as indicated by the supervisor or Executive Director.

  11. Report to and seek supervision from the manager or director regarding the progress or concerns of clients and job responsibilities.

  12. Attend applicable training to further enhance the skilled services offered at The Nest.

  13. Assist and support the Executive Director and other staff in fundraising and other agency events.

  14. Other duties as necessary and assigned. 

Additional Job Expectations: 

This is a full-time exempt position. This position will require the Program Administrator to work during the weekdays and it may also be possible the Program Administrator will occasionally have to cover for services offered in the evenings and/or weekends. In addition, the Program Administrator will participate in community and Nest events. The Program Administrator’s schedule will be determined by the Director of the Program. The Program Administrator will be expected to arrive at and leave work at designated times.

The Nest requires all staff to be present for three events each year: The Night for The Nest, Annual Staff Training, and Reindeer Express. Most projects will be conducted during business hours, but some events will take place after hours and on the weekends.


Job Qualifications:

A degree in social work, criminal justice, or two years of related work experience in the human service field is preferred. This position requires excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Multilingual candidates are preferred. Travel may be required.
